What about DuckDuckGo and canvas fingerprinting? Is it confirmed?
So it seems like DDG does no fingerprinting. Just people being hysteric.https://birb.site/@charlag/101375689737812844
You don't even have to read DuckDuckGo code to verify that they don't do tracking. Looking at the network tab is enough. It does 4 GET requests (for me at least) and none of them include any data besides search query. No cookies saved either.
I'm not saying that they do something illegitimate there, mind you. Just that there is no way to tell.
@Konrad I only meant client side tracking. To process IPs by GDPR you're obliged to ask for consent
Mastodon x appdot.net = fun?
A place for former ADN users - on the whole
