One thing I'll never forgive Apple for is making impossibly-thin laptops the new hotness. This is in part because my laptop doesn't have enough bezel to actually keep the screen from touching the keyboard, so now I have a permanent keyboard-impression on my screen.

(Note: This post isn't a church door, so please don't nail your 95 theses about other things that Apple does that annoy you.)

Reader, we had #fireflies in our yard tonight.

They hovered over our plant beds, seeking mates in the dark of our unlit yard. Our neighbors, with plantless yards brightly light with security beacons, had almost none.

It's a tiny thing, but I think it is an example of how individual action, on a small plot of land, can do some good.
