i got a theory about why rogue-likes are so popular: procedural content is just so much more fun to develop


@aeva Basically, yes. I can actually play my game and be surprised (or frustrated). Fixed levels, I know everything. Generators for roguelikes are fun to code. Level editors are OK, but sitting there tapping 50,000 blocks into place is awful.
